Uncasville

glassy-eyed zombie

feeding on the frenzy

of casino noise

moon struck by three sevens

jackpots gnaw at my wallet

addicted to its’ venom

chasing myself

around the orb of lucifer

piddling my time

swift, spine-chilling moments

marry migraines

intervals of pain

and waterfront delusions.

Wow, this took me back to my days playing at a casino piano bar. Watching folks come out crying, then ordering drinks. Having to sing “I Did It My Way” in Spanish for the biggest losers of the night… perfect view of the addict and the addiction… and the crack den!

    A winner, Giovanni!

hmm, interesting. casinos have the wrap of sleazy places, where good men bid away their souls to slaves of addiction. i really enjoyed this 🙂

Casinos, the red man’s revenge. Hard hitting and bone-bare look at the ‘thrill’ that never lasts. Some great lines, too “…chasing myself /around the orb of lucifer…” I’m imagining some infernal, androided-out slot machine…good stuff.

This is an excellent description! Casions always strike me as brittle, desperate places.
