What Are You To Me?

What are you to me?

but the warmth emanating from an incandescent summer day

or the glow of a moonlit evening;

the person who brings fire to my feet

and works me with a pepper studded sensual salsa.

What are you to me?

but something fresh from God

a gift from the heavens,

a pristine pearl…

something that is always beginning

and every day a fresh flower is born of you

a blessing thrown before me.

What are you to me?

but a crescent moon

complete with life

and cradled by a star lit sky

What are you to me?

    This poem is so mysterious and beautiful. I love it. Your writing has a way of letting me catch just a glimpse into your mind, and makes me want to read and know more.
