Emu

so there I was
enjoying a lovely
down-under December
afternoon in the field
in the Grampians
with me mates
lazy grazin’
chewin’ plants & chasin’ insects

all of a sudden
here they come
a couple o’ young blokes
from Adelaide
yahooin’ and carryin’ on a bit
ever hopeful in their shaggin’ wagon
do they want me eggs?
me skin? me oil??
I know I heard one of them say carpaccio!
so I gave them this look…
and off they went.

I tasted Emu during my visit down under and absolutely loved it, a very unique meat. I’ve had kangaroo several times as well.

it is great to know that you could wear the shoes of the emu and deliver messages to us the destructive huntsmens of this universe…
